While my go-to outfits will always be all-black and monochromatic styles, I have a lot of respect for a good print. I started seeing bright and bold fall prints this season that fit my style wheelhouse. These colorful looks got my creative juices pumping, and I could imagine all the fun ways to style them.

Typically, fall brings us comfortable, expected autumn colors. We traditionally see various shades of brown, some bold orange and leopard print. Textures tend to be heavier, and prints tend to get lost in the layers of clothing. But not this fall season. I was pleasantly surprised to see some variations of colors and … some cool-ass floral! Normally, I am not much for a floral print, but I will take that in a heartbeat over plaid or paisley. I scooped up this gorgeous Givenchy dress from a stylist at Net-a-Porter, and it has not disappointed. The bright and bold color choices are exciting and fun to work with, but the background is white (versus brown or black) threw me for a loop! This dress took that silly saying of “no white after Labor Day” and told it where it could go!
So, you choose a gorgeous dress like I did, how can you “change-up” the looks? Here are a few suggestions:
Drinks & Dinner with the Ladies
One of the fun things about this dress and its print is the many colors from which to pull. Decide on one (or two) of the colors to accessorize with and finish it off with a feminine, pointed neutral bootie. It’s fun, flirty and fabulous for a night out with girlfriends!

Sunday Brunch with Mom
The occasional (or obligatory) Sunday brunch with Mom doesn’t have to be boring. Pair this dress with a trendy pair of sneakers, a cool leather coat, and casual headband, and your brunch will go from basic to bold.

Evening Out with your Main Squeeze
Take this dress on an evening out with your #1. I love the idea of an embellished mule, statement bag, and subtle stud earring. Or, be more romantic like my pic here with a strappy sandal, classic bag, and statement earring.

This fall, I dare you to invest in something different than a chunky brown sweater or over-the-knee boot. Find a bold statement print you love and make it anything and everything you want it to be!
