Like sneakers, t-shirts have become a staple for my everyday wardrobe and are bringing much-loved comfort to my chic style. Whether running errands with my children or hitting the town with my girlfriends, t-shirts are a jack-of-all-trades and wardrobe must. Once just acceptable for the gym or around the house, trendy, beautiful, fun t-shirts are everywhere and work day-to-night. I seriously can’t get enough of them. So, if your closet has a t-shirt void, it’s time to find one that is right for you!
From department stores to high-end designer stores, t-shirts may not be in the window, but they are for sure on the store racks. What’s so great is that t-shirts are no longer just white and black or a forgotten layering piece. They have taken on a personality and can be found in interesting fabrics, bold colors, and different cuts. No matter the shade of your skin or the size of your chest, there is one out there with your name on it.
Madeworn, which can be found at Intermix, is a line that has not only unique, washed out colors, but also classic rock graphics from Kiss to the Rolling Stones. Their fit feels a bit tomboy, but their almost cropped cut gives them an interesting, sexy twist. One of these bad boys can be worn with boyfriend jeans and a pair of trendy sneakers, and you have a cool and confident shopping outfit.
While browsing online, I visited The Webster. I came across this beautiful, t-shirt by Alexandra Golovanoof. The fit is slim and feminine. The color is a classic, canary yellow that reminds me of springtime in France. They paired it with a long white skirt and heels, and I could picture myself riding a bike through the countryside with a picnic basket in hand! You could also put this top with some modestly cut shorts, beautiful flat sandals and a bright bag and you have an amazing summer alfresco dining outfit.
I have written about logos being so hot. Some of my favorite t-shirts are simple, just having a designer’s name across the chest. I bought a beautiful cobalt blue Balmain t-shirt last year. I wear it with leather pants and high heeled sandals, and I have a chic, comfortable look perfect for dinner and a movie. Saint Laurent has some great t-shirts out right now, too. Their logos are often more subtle, and the material of their t-shirts feel like you’re wearing your favorite childhood blanket.
