I just got home from a week in NYC to attend Fashion Week and…wow. Fashion Week is like my own personal Super Bowl. I train all year for it and it’s a complete highlight. I’ll be sharing a few posts with you about the top trends I spotted, designers I discovered as well as my personal experience of the week.
Most of the looks I saw were showing Spring 2020 designs and I’m already getting excited about what you’re going to see in stores because it. is. beautiful.
Elle is predicting a season of big pants, short shorts and big color showing up in bright yellows. I’m loving all of that. If you’re still unsure how to work those short, shorts – check out this piece I wrote recently.
Here’s what I spotted and loved:
Silks and Satins
From hair accessories to gorgeous dresses and easy blouses, I saw silks flowing and it was stunning. This Zimmerman silk dress is such a win for a Spring look. I love the feminine cut, but the long sleeves make it perfect for the cooler Spring nights. A few other silk pieces I’m feeling for Spring:
Color, color, color
Yellow is going to be everywhere. This bold, sunny and memorable color was all over the runways and I’m excited to see it at my Spring parties, brunches and happy hours. Remember that piece I wrote about how to wear neon colors? So much of that advice works with yellows.
I’m loving these pieces in yellow for Spring:
